Meet Our Founder
Jelilat Odubayo
I established Jariyah Grant Consulting because I saw a need for a tailored and responsive approach to accessing sustainable funding pathways.
Following establishing a successful crowdfunding page to get to Cornell’s summer program in high school, I learned that money follows clarity, that community fuels momentum, and that stewardship is strategy, not etiquette. Upon reflection, I set a goal, wrote a clear explanation of why, and asked boldly.
With a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Creative Writing from Carleton College, I combine strong analytical skills with a passion for storytelling to help organizations secure funding that drives impact.
Today, at Jariyah Grant Consulting, I strive to empower students and organizations to turn discipline into scalable revenue and trust.
Your story can move capital, too. If you’re ready to leverage your story and raise capital that will sustain your development into the future, reach out. We are ready for you!
From the Director for Academic Support Center @ Carleton College
“Jelilat worked as a writing consultant for Carleton College's writing center during the height of the pandemic. In this role, she supported students writing for college classes in a variety of genres. She also assisted students applying to graduate school, internships, and jobs. As a writing consultant, Jelilat received training on writer-reader dynamics, writer autonomy, and academic writing expectations. She works equally well with students in-person and virtually and highly values the relational aspects of working with people on projects they care about.”
